In 2020, we had the special opportunity to modernize two Liebherr BOS cranes on the Seafox 4 platform in the North Sea.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

This project had historical significance for us: Greussing carried out its very first crane project here 20 years ago. Now it was time to bring the 45-year-old cranes up to date again<\/p>\n

Measures implemented:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Completely new gearbox and hydraulic pumps: One crane received a completely new gearbox and two new hydraulic pumps to optimize drive performance and efficiency.<\/li>\n
  • Overhaul of the gearbox: The existing gearbox on the second crane was comprehensively overhauled to extend its functionality and service life.<\/li>\n
  • New control system: Both cranes have been equipped with a modern and powerful control system that ensures precise operability and greater reliability.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Result: <\/strong>After the modernization, the two cranes were more powerful and reliable than ever before. The new and overhauled components as well as the modern control system make the cranes fit for the requirements of the coming decades.<\/p>\n
