In an intensive two-week assignment on the high seas, two of our employees brought two Liebherr BW 20\/20 double cranes up to the latest state of the art.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

The aim of the modernization was to optimize the control systems, sensors and operability of the cranes and make them fit for the future.<\/p>\n

Measures implemented:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  • New control system:<\/strong> The outdated PCB Logic Control has been replaced by an ultra-modern one programmed by us. IFM control<\/strong> replaced.<\/li>\n
  • Modernized communication:<\/strong> Introduction of a CAN bus system<\/strong>which enables precise synchronization between the cranes and significantly increases the efficiency of the control system. Analog signal transmission has been completely replaced.<\/li>\n
  • High-precision sensor technology:<\/strong> Integration of specially developed Rotary encoder with cam limit switches<\/strong> for hoist, luffing gear and slewing gear, ensuring maximum safety and efficiency.<\/li>\n
  • Improved ease of use:<\/strong> Installation of a Touch panels<\/strong> and new Joysticks<\/strong>which make operation considerably easier. Settings that previously had to be laboriously made using potentiometers can now be adjusted directly and intuitively via the panel.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    With these modernizations, we have not only optimized the functionality of the cranes, but also significantly increased their reliability and future-proofing. The cranes are now ready for the challenges of the modern shipping industry.<\/p>\n
