Modernization of the RS30 belt preparation

The aim of the project was to update the control technology and electrical components in order to optimize the operational safety, efficiency and user-friendliness of the system.

Measures implemented:

• New software: Development and integration of completely new control software, tailored to the specific requirements of the machine.
• New Siemens S7-1500 control system: Replacement of the old control system with the powerful and future-proof Siemens S7-1500 control system.
• New control cabinets: Installation of modern control cabinets for improved control and clarity of the electrical components.
• Two control panels: Provision and integration of two new control panels for intuitive and ergonomic operation.
• New radio remote control from Autec: Introduction of a radio remote control for flexible and safe working on the machine.
• Security technology: Implementation of new safety technology for the safety doors to ensure operator protection.
• Pneumatic valve terminal from Festo: Replacement of the pneumatic components with a modern valve terminal from Festo for more precise control and greater reliability.
• New hydraulic power unit from Haberkorn: Installation of a new hydraulic unit that significantly improves the performance and efficiency of the hydraulic system.

Result:
This extensive modernization has brought the RS30 strip preparation line up to the latest state of the art. The new control and safety technology, combined with optimized mechanical components, enables Mubea Präzisionsstahlrohr AG in Arbon to operate the system more efficiently and safely.
